Hey everyone! Welcome to the official blog space of Mindset Over Fences! I am going to use this page to talk about building my confidence, horses, show experiences, and all things equine! In way of introduction my name is Liz, I am in my 30s and an adult amateur in the DMV area. I am blessed to ride at an amazing barn with plenty of riding options, great feedback and a fantastic community. I grew up with horses and had 0 fear as a kid. However, as I got older, the realization that hitting the ground is painful comes more to the forefront at every ride. After a really bad spill, my confidence went back down to the bottom. I slowly started to rebuild my confidence with horses, jumping fences, and meditation. Then COViD hit, I had my first round of COViD in December 2020 and it ended up affecting my lungs / oxegyn levels and my stamina was shot.
